Bergen Dining Destination Announces Celebratory Martini Specials and More

Five years after opening the doors to a culinary oasis, Chakra Restaurant thrives as a dining destination well-known for its unique ambiance, stellar cuisine, and creative cocktails.

“On this special milestone for Chakra Restaurant, we want to express our sincere appreciation to our valued customers for their loyalty and support, many of whom have become great friends of the restaurant,” said Chakra co-owner, Peter Longo. “We are also thankful to our staff and suppliers who have helped Chakra grow and flourish.”

“As we continue to take our menu and service to new levels each season, we are certain the next five years will be even more successful,” Longo added.

For Chakra’s owners, opening the restaurant was a labor of love, designing an entirely new backdrop for guests, turning the shell of a nondescript Route 4 building into a cavernous one room dining area, unlike what Bergen diners have been treated to before. With painstaking attention to detail, from candles aloft in crevices in the distressed brick walls to hand-carved Cambodian reliefs and its often-requested banquettes that seem to envelop even large groups, the restaurant was intended to help patrons “embark on a culinary journey.”

“It is rewarding to see that after five years we are still receiving wonderful responses to the restaurant’s atmosphere and cuisine,” said Chakra co-owner, Jason Longo. “Our focus has always been on the quality of the overall dining experience and we will continue to build on that. We thank everyone that has been a part of our journey and success.”

In honor of its fifth anniversary, Chakra Restaurant has planned a month-long celebration to thank its guests and celebrate its longevity as a dining destination.

  • To acknowledge the overwhelming recognition Chakra has received for its specialty martinis and cosmopolitans from guests and fellow restaurants, during the month of April, Chakra will be offering $5.00 Russian Imperial Martinis and Cosmopolitans, along with a yet-to-be-revealed Specialty Fifth Anniversary cocktail concoction. Chakra will also offer $5 wines by the glass and a $5 draft beer.
  • Patrons are invited to enjoy an exclusive $55 five-course tasting menu, available during the month of April, that exemplifies the style, quality and presentation of cuisine for which Chakra has come to be known.
  • Throughout the month of April, patrons can indulge in the sweet life as all desserts will be only $5.00.
  • On Monday, April 13th, Chakra will also host a special five-course $55 Fifth Anniversary Wine Dinner.
