Alba’s Music Under the Arbor series continues with The Kathy Philips Trio on June 5 featuring Walt Bibinger on guitar and Kim Williams on keyboards with a unique blend of pop, folk, rock and jazz including music from The Beatles to Fleetwood Mac plus old familiar jazz standards.

On June 13, The Long Gone Daddies, a stringband with tasty backporch grooves, entertain with their own style of rock, jazz, and pop. Their repertoire stretches from the roaring ’20s to the anything-goes ’70s.

From the White House to the Kennedy Center, the Eric Mintel Jazz Quartet, which performs June 27, truly connects with the masses. Featuring Eric Mintel on piano, they combine sax, flute, electric bass and drums so flawlessly that Jazz icon Dave Brubeck says “As long as the music attracts dedicated young musicians like Eric Mintel and the Eric Mintel Quartet, jazz will continue to thrive and progress as a voice of freedom.”
