Flying Fish Releases Exit 4 American Trippel in 6-packs

Due to popular demand Exit 4, the first of the Flying Fish Exit Series beers, will be released this month in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles. Exit 4 was a gold medal winner at last October’s Great American Beer Festival and was also named Best Belgian Beer Brewed in America by Mens Journal. A Belgian-style Trippel then hopped with plenty of American hops, Exit 4 has a hazy golden hue and the aroma of citrus with hints of banana and clove. Predominant Belgian malt flavors give way to a subdued bitterness in the finish. Bottle-conditioned, the beer will develop as it ages.

Cricket Hill Announces Reserve Series of Designer Beers

Cricket Hill Brewing Company will be releasing a barleywine that will be bottled in 22 oz. bottles and limited to less that 200 cases! This will be followed by their second limited release — a bourbon barrel aged porter, scheduled for release in late February. Cricket Hill is planning four limited releases per year!

Cricket Hill has always brewed session beers that are gentle in style yet full flavored. Their beers are all designed to give a full flavor blast in the middle of the beer drinker’s palate with no aftertaste.

Krogh’s to Feature Russian Imperial Stout

Krogh’s Restaurant and Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza in Sparta, will be featuring a Russian Imperial Stout on February 12th. It is the “Best of Show” beer from the 2009 NJ State Fair Home Brew Contest. The lucky winner of that contest who got to brew their beer right here at Krogh’s this year was Andrew Meravi! Congratulations, Andrew! And coming out in March just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Krogh’s will be offering an Irish Stout! Call with any questions or for reservations at 973-729-8428.

Iron Hill Has a “Situation” Brewing

Iron Hill Brewery in Maple Shade has been inspired by a particular reality television show to brew The Situation, a beer that defies categorization. A 10% alcohol hop bomb? A Double IPA? Find out for yourself when the beer is tapped Saturday, February 20th, 1 PM at Iron Hill Maple Shade. Join the fun — wear a costume or just pump your fists. Call (856) 273-0300 for more information.
